About Amy

Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they can recognize but have not been able to shift on their own.

Amy works with adults who are trying to better understand themselves, their relationships and the patterns that keep showing up in their lives. You may be overthinking, second-guessing yourself, feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling to set boundaries or noticing the same issues keep coming up.

Her focus is on creating a thoughtful and collaborative space where you can slow things down, make sense of what is happening and respond in more intentional ways.

Approach to Therapy

Amy’s approach is collaborative, engaged and insight-focused. In sessions, she listens closely, offers observations, asks thoughtful questions and provides feedback so therapy feels like an active exchange.

Together, you work to understand what feels stuck, identify patterns that may no longer be helping and build on the strengths you already have.

Amy draws from several therapeutic approaches, including CBT, IPT, EFT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, relational therapy, self-compassion practices, trauma-informed therapy and attachment-focused adult psychotherapy.

Sessions often focus on helping you respond with more awareness, intention and self-compassion.

Working With Amy

Amy has over 25 years of experience supporting adults through mental health, relational and life-stage concerns. Her background includes 17 years in family practice settings, as well as experience in a lead counsellor role at the University of Toronto.

She works well with clients who are ready to reflect, build insight and shift unproductive patterns. Over time, clients often begin to notice their patterns in real time, pause before reacting automatically and respond with more intention.

Amy’s goal is to help you better understand what feels stuck so things feel more manageable and aligned with your goals.
